Ostrich feathers have been used for centuries for decorative purposes. Egyptians used a white ostrich feather as a symbol of justice, order and truth. Feathers are used in theatrical production, carnivals, the fashion industry, ballroom dancing, fly tying and for domestic and industrial dusters. Research has found that the natural oils in ostrich feathers are excellent for attracting dust and hold it instead of moving it around like synthetic dusters do. |
